Rory Higgins

Rory is a researcher with a background in history, mathematics, and digital humanities. He supports RSGI’s projects with a focus on data analysis, strategic communications, and client outreach.

Rory graduated in history from the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded an honorary senior scholarship. His dissertation applied digital humanities tools and graph-based mathematical analysis to the archival sources of Charles Stewart Parnell, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to research.

He has worked internationally as an education consultant in Hong Kong, where he led advertising strategies and stakeholder engagement for the Oxford Scholars’ Tour, significantly boosting client engagement. Rory also taught history, English, and politics, helping students build confidence and academic success.

Outside work, Rory enjoys exploring the intersections of history and technology through real-time strategy video games. He’s also a keen follower of basketball – though his enthusiasm on the court often outpaces his accuracy.
