RSGI Limited (company number: 13420611) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a global research and intelligence agency for the legal industry that focuses on resilience, sustainability, growth and innovation for law firms, in-house legal teams and law companies around the globe. We conduct research and compile reports on the legal industry, for example in collaboration with the Financial Times on the FT Innovative Lawyers programme.

  • Participant and Contact Data: As part of our research and report programmes, we collect personal information such as your name, job title, email address, telephone number, organisation details, and any information that either you, your company or others in the industry have chosen to provide about your professional work, or that may be publicly available. 
  • Mailing List Subscribers: If you sign up for RSGI’s mailing list independently, we collect your name, email address, position title and organisation. 
  • References: For those who serve as internal or external references (e.g., providing testimonials or further information), we may collect your name, contact details, and any related information that you choose to share.
  • Website Visitors: When you visit our websites or complete online surveys, we may also receive technical information such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and usage data.  
  • Information We Obtain From Other Sources: We also obtain professional information about potential participants and references from public sources (such as corporate websites, professional profiles and industry publications) and from nominations or referrals provided by others in the industry. We use this information to assess relevance for our research, to contact you about participation, and to verify submissions. Where we did not obtain your personal data directly from you, we will provide you with this privacy information at our first communication with you unless an exemption applies.  

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Research Activities: We use the information you provide to conduct our research activities including scheduling interviews, sending questionnaires, or gathering expert opinions. 
  • Reporting: data, such as your name, role, and professional insights, with our collaborators (including the Financial Times) for editorial purposes. Where we publish quotes or profiles that identify you, we will seek your consent where required by law.  
  • Communications: We may contact you regarding submission guidelines, deadlines, or updates about our reports; this can include invitations to interviews, clarifications on submissions, and notification of events.
