Our latest feature for the Financial Times Accelerating Business series is now live.

In this latest instalment, we spotlight six wavemakers in legal technology – companies that have made waves over the past year as AI and automation continue to transform the business of law.

From AI companies, Harvey and Legora continuing to raise investment and their corresponding valuations, to Clio’s acquisition of data and AI company VLex, to Workday’s integration of Evisort and its recognition of the importance of Legal to a company’s smooth functioning, also recognised by new comer Eudia, to LegalOn’s international growth out from Japan – the group represent the changing face of the legal technology market and its global dynamism.

Together, they represent a sector in motion: one forecast to grow from $27bn today to $47bn by 2030, driven by innovation that’s reshaping the middle and back offices of legal and corporate operations alike.

The six were chosen by our team at RSGI from a longlist of 75, based on growth, investment, and industry impact, and refined by an expert panel including:

  • Sandeep Agrawal (PwC),
  • Connie Brenton (LegalOps.com),
  • Caroline Hill (Legal IT Insider),
  • Joy Heath Rush (ILTA),
  • and Kerry Westland (Addleshaw Goddard).
