FT Collaborative Innovation Awards

20 Jun 2022

20 June marks the inaugural Collaborative Innovation awards. This is a brand new venture for RSGI and the FT Innovative Lawyers programme. Rather than looking at past innovation, we challenged the legal industry to come up with ideas for collaborative solutions to some of the industry, and the world’s, biggest problems. Today the shortlisted teams will present their projects to our panel of judges and the winners will take home awards for collaboration, innovation and impact.

What makes a good collaborative innovation?

Collaborative solutions to industry challenges should show innovation, breadth and big potential impact. In considering the projects for the Collaborative Innovation award, we identified the following criteria:

  • The breadth of the collaboration includes a wide range of industry players, with potential for more to get involved
  • User-experience is at the heart of the solution
  • The collaboration involved cognitive diversity, bringing in a broad range of skills and experience
  • Digital tools are utilised to solve the industry challenge
  • The project leads to greater speed and efficiency
  • The project has potentially significant industry impact
